"DynoRyder: '9:14 P.M.'"

"Kieran!" Codex growled, glaring dangerously at the nearly identical Velon that was now sitting on a very thin branch at the top of a very tall tree. "Get down from there!"

Kieran made a small noise, saying that he heard the other, but he didn't do anything to move down from where he was, and instead he tried again to reach out for the object that was tangled on the end of the branch. "A-almost... got... i-it..." he puffed out and Codex's eyes widen when he hears the slight 'crack' from the branch as Kieran reached out further.

"Kieran!" Codex shouted again just as Kieran grabbed the necklace, and just as the branch snapped. Kieran let out a yelp of fright and shock when it did and he fell. The taller Dinaurian barely had enough time to think, let alone catch him, but luckily, he'd only needed a second before his mind went into panic and he leaped forward, catching Kieran.

Codex made a small noise of both relief and pain when he landed on the ground, on his back, with Kieran on him, the smaller Velon shaking a little from the initial shock of the fall. It was a moment later when Kieran finally spoke, and he let out a nervous chuckle. "Er... got it?"

Codex opened his eyes, unaware he'd even closed them, his crimson orbs burning with a fire Kieran hadn't seen in a while and for a moment it made the Velon frightened. "Don't ever do that again..." Codex seethed and Kieran's ears lowered, though he gave a small smile that said he was sorry before leaning down and kissing Codex's cheek.

"Okay..." he promised.
